Natural gas main or propane?
In most foothill towns, the town center is on PG&E natural gas and the propane homes are on the parcels around it: acreage, private roads and neighborhoods the gas main never reached. Census figures show the pattern clearly. Inside Auburn city limits about 1% of households heat with propane; in Meadow Vista it is about 64% and in Lake of the Pines about 72%.
Rocklin, Roseville and Granite Bay are mostly on PG&E natural gas. If your property there uses propane, call (530) 888-7438 and the office will tell you your delivery day.
