“I've been with this company since we moved into our current house 13 years ago. I have seriously never had a bad experience with them. They are such an organized and well run company. They have always been so kind and respectful to us and I feel their prices are competitive. Today I feel like they saved us from a potential house fire. They came to change our propane tank regulator and after they changed it out the two gentlemen came inside to inspect all of our gas run appliances to make sure they are functioning well. While inspecting our clothing dryer they found that it had never been converted properly to propane before being installed and when they ran it they could see that built up lint was being ignited within the dryer when in use. When they showed me, I could actually see a large active flame through the vent on the inside of the dryer. They disconnected the appliance so I couldn't use it and had a conversion kit expedite shipped to them overnight. By the next morning, they had Bobby out to not only convert it properly, but he did a deep cleaning on my entire dryer by taking it apart and vacuuming out the massive amounts of burnt lint that had accumulated over the past 8 years. He also showed me how to take the front cover off so that I can clean it annually myself. I am so grateful to this company. I truly think they saved us from a very dangerous situation for my family. A lot could have been lost. Thank you to American River Gas Co. for your many years of service to our home and your incredibly kind and expert staff. We are customers for life. My husband, myself and our three children are grateful to you. 🙏”

“Previous company left us high and dry, just skipped filling without notice, so on Christmas Eve Day our tank went empty. On referral I called ARG, got ahold of Steve, co-owner, who jumped in a truck and filled up our tank to literally save Christmas. Since then they've been equally awesome. In general, this is how a business should have customer service.”

“I never thought I would feel so compelled to write a review for a propane company, but these guys definitely earn their 5 stars and more! When calling, I feel like I’m calling my neighbor! They are so nice, helpful, and almost always have an answer for me right away. They are super responsive! They act like they’re right down the road and can get out pretty quickly, if a need arises. We had used a different propane company in the past. They filled a leaking tank, and just “noted (our) account to check for leaks on next fill”. Well, as you can imagine, that was a pretty costly fill. We don’t use much propane, so I would estimate about %80 of what was in the tank leaked out, and we used the other %20. Anyway, American River gas came right out, diagnosed the issue, repaired, then returned to fill in a very timely manner. We have found our new propane company and will never go anywhere else! Thanks again for taking care of us and being so kind along the way!”
